Several of the adventures I had during my year off were art therapy classes, learning new art techniques that can be integrated with play therapy. Come and explore how to use focused early recollections drawings, feeling vocabulary drawings, touch drawing, safe place drawings, and "stuck place"drawings in your play therapy practice with kids, teens, and adults. We will also be making soul collages, creating bridges, and soul cards. You will be able to use these techniques for deepening your understanding of client issues as part of the conceptualization process, for helping clients understand their issues and relationships more clearly, and for helping clients resolve problems and move forward with their lives. We will have an amazingly fun time creating together–I promise you don’t have to have any artistic talent at all, just a willingness to play with art materials and think about how you can use art in your play therapy process.
